One of my gaming clients are looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in central Stockholm on a 12 month contract.

They are open to having someone from a  Java or Functional Programming background but the below skills are the most important.

  • Experience of large distributed, high-performance systems
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud deployment
  • Low latency experience 

You will be required to use Scala on the assignment 🙂

My large payment client is looking for a Scala Developer to be based in Stockholm, Sweden on a 6 month rolling contract.

Their services are built in Scala and deployed with help of tools such as Docker, Ansible and Jenkins.

They work in small autonomous teams with short release cycles; Microservices, the Cloud and Continuous Deployment are at the heart of everything they do.

What you will be doing day to day:

  • High level Scala
  • Creating REST API’s and working with message queues.
  • Working with the entire lifecycle of a service, from writing application code and tests to deploying.
  • Building and running web services where uptime is a priority.
  • Working as a team; we respect and support each other, practising agile methodologies including pair and mob programming.
  • Deploying code multiple times a day using automated pipelines.

What you need:

  • Scala commercial experience isn’t required for this role, however a willingness to use Scala is a necessity
  • Fast learner
  • Experience of working on scalable and transactional projects
  • Pragmatic

Technical Stack: Scala , Kafka and AWS

My current FinTech client is looking for Erlang Developers on 6-month contract in Stockholm.

They are expanding their engineering team so that they can scale up their backend systems, ensuring that their systems are flexible and rapidly respond to clients needs.


  • Learn and understand the business requirements surrounding the integration of banking infrastructure
  • Implementing new features while maintaining/improving quality
  • Drive changes for improving our software and way of working
  • Take ownership of the problem domains in your team


  • Use of Erlang coding or use of at least one other programming language along with interest in Erlang
  • Some practice with configuration management (AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.) is a plus
  • Excellent English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment

Technical Stack 

Erlang, Mnesia, Postgres, LevelDB, Kafka, Splunk, Ansible, Jenkins and a range of OTP tools.
